Weather in Costa Calida: The Costa Calida for the purposes of this website stretches from the border with Alicante in the north (at El Mojon/Pilar de la Horadada), down to the border with Almeria (Andalucia) close to Aguilas.

Beginning in the north and on the coast the first place we come to is Lo Pagan and two towns which are virtually joined together Santiago de la Ribera and San Pedro del Pinatar, all on the coastline of the Mar Menor, just inland from these is the village of Sucina and lots of other small hamlets and villages plus a number of brand new golf courses such as the Club de Golf La Peraleja near Sucina.

Back along the Mar Menor coastline, the next town is San Javier, the location of the airport most often called Murcia airport, then comes Los Alcazares, Punta Brava, Los Urrutias and Los Nietos. Inland from these resorts are Torre Pacheco, Roda, Dolores, and Balsicas. Around the city of Murcia are a number of satellite towns and villages such as Santomera, Beniel, Molina de Segura, Fortuna, Archena, Lorqui, Ceuti, Jumilla and Alcantarilla.

To the north-west of Murcia are a number of interesting towns such as Mula, Bullas, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegin, and Calasparra, to the south-west are Totana, Alhama de Murcia, and Lorca.

South of Lorca gets you back to the Costa Calida coastline in the port of Aguilas, from here we shall head back up the coast, passing Calabardina, Cabo Cope, and Calnegre reaching the resort of Puerto Mazarron, the coastal section of the town of Mazarron. East of Mazarron is the historic city of Cartagena with its many Roman remains, and continuing east along the coast gets you back to the Mar Menor region with the resort of La Manga (La Manga del Mar Menor) which is on a spit of land that actually forms the Mar Menor Sea.
